Domestic Cargo

• How can I dispatch my cargo, do you accept delivery from my workplace?

  Since our shipments are between airports, you should deliver your cargo to the cargo department at the airport near to your location, and receiver should accept the delivery from the airport at the destination. 

• Which information/documents are required while delivering my cargo?

  If the shipper:

  • is an individual, then full name and Republic of Turkey ID number details are required.
  • is a company, then the trade name, tax office and tax ID number of such company are required.

• When we bring in a consignment, will it be packed by you?

  You need to deliver your consignments within a package and parcel which are of the quality and size as appropriate to the content of any such consignment.

• Is any booking being made for the domestic cargos?

  No booking is made for the domestic cargos. 

• When should I deliver the cargo?

  The cargo should be delivered 2 hours beforehand as based on the schedule of the flight by which the cargo is wished to be shipped.

• Can we send cargo by counterparty-payment?

  Our cargo is shipped only on prepaid basis (cash payment or payment by a credit card).

• Can we send negotiable instruments by cargo?

  We do not transport any instrument, which states any value thereon (cheques, notes, bonds, etc.), or any valuable article or any articles made therefrom. However, notarized documents, tender documents and valuable cargoes on which value is not declared can be sent.

• Which documents are required for accepting the delivery of the cargo?

  In respect of any cargo sent in the name of a person, the Republic of Turkey identity of such person or the driver's license, passport, containing such identity details, must be presented. 

  In respect of any cargo sent in the name of a company, the person, who wishes to accept the delivery of such cargo, may accept such delivery by presenting a letter which is drawn up on a letterhead and whereby it is stated that such person is authorized by the respective company. 

• In which period can we receive our cargo at the destinations?

  You can receive your cargo within a period of 1 hour following the arrival of the scheduled flight

• Do you operate domestic cargo flights with freighters?

  Our domestic cargo shipments are transported by means of the scheduled passenger flights. You can visit www.turkishairlines.com for the passenger flight schedule.

• Which pricing do you apply for any domestic consignment which is subject to customs and dispatched by connection?

  For such type of consignments, you should call the domestic cargo department and obtain information about the prices? The prices inquired through the Internet are valid for the regular domestic consignments. 

• Is insurance applied in domestic shipments?

  SDR (Special Drawing Rights) is applied according to Warsaw Convention for domestic shipments and Montreal Convention for transit cargoes.
