Cat and dog transfers between aircraft and warehouse in Istanbul are carried out with specially designed, temperature-controlled, and ventilated vehicles to reduce stress levels.

Upon customer request, our special team supervises aircraft-side processes for chick and hatching egg shipments and shares operational visuals.

Feeding (Chicks)

For chick shipments with connection times exceeding 8 hours, feeding is carried out with feed provided by the customer, under veterinary supervision.

Turkish Cargo conducts live animal transportation in accordance with over 30 years of experience, following IATA and CITES regulations with a primary focus on animal health and welfare. Under the supervision of our 24/7 on-duty veterinarians and dedicated live animal handling team, a comfortable transportation process is ensured through species-specific handling equipment and additional services tailored to customer requests and the needs of the animals.

Is veterinary inspection required for live animal shipments?

Yes. Veterinary inspection is mandatory to verify the health condition and airworthiness of the animals. These inspections ensure both animal welfare and flight safety.

How are emergency procedures managed in live animal transportation?

In case of emergencies, the “Handling Information” section on the Air Waybill (AWB) and the animal crate is checked. If a special instruction or note is indicated, the persons or institutions listed in the instructions are contacted and informed as soon as possible.
